The challenge

A small primary school was relying on ad-hoc IT help that couldn't keep up. As pupil numbers grew and the school began its journey towards academy status, it needed a partner who could grow with it — keeping costs down while raising security and reliability.

What we did

We started small, matching our support to the school's budget, then expanded the service as the school grew — adding safe web filtering and safeguarding, reliable Wi-Fi across new spaces, cloud backup, Cyber Essentials certification, and Microsoft and Google for Education. When the school converted to an academy, we helped standardise and secure its IT for the new structure.

The challenge

A multi-partner law firm needed watertight security and compliance — client confidentiality is everything — without disrupting fee-earners or the practice software they rely on every day.

What we did

We secured Microsoft 365 with multi-factor authentication and Conditional Access, deployed managed endpoint protection, and put application-aware patching around their legal practice software so updates never interrupt a working day. We guided the firm through Cyber Essentials and aligned its controls with what insurers and the regulator expect.

An accountancy practice that stays online at year-end

The challenge

An accountancy practice couldn't afford downtime around tax deadlines, and ran sensitive software — Sage, IRIS, CCH and TaxCalc — that can easily be broken by a careless update.

What we did

We took over proactive monitoring and backup, scheduled application-aware patching outside the busiest periods, hardened Microsoft 365 against phishing, and put verified daily backups with tested restores in place. A GDPR control review kept client data compliant.
